Venkateswarlu:

One question though.. Vonage DMZ lo, why we are adding '2' only.. why not other number like '3'?

That's because, if you login to your router and see the WAN ip, it would be 192.168.15.2 which is what vonage assigns.

Tried doing the second step, vonage in DMZ. work avaledu.. asalu switch pedithe koodaa work aithaledu ante..

oka vela switch pedithe, you have enough ports to connect. Appudu, vonage adapter ni switch ki connect cheyyi. So, you will have:

modem -> router
router -> ex
router -> switch -> vonage

switch should not have any effect on ex server.

Venkateswarlu:

Now step 2.

Connect Vonage adapter as:

cable modem -> vonage adapter -> router

From a pc in the network, login to Vonage vPortal. If you don't know the ip, use the defaults:

http://192.168.15.1/
user name: router
password: router

** change the default password and write it down somewhere

Click on 'Advaced Setup'

Under DMZ Host, Enter the DMZ address as, 192.168.15.2 (you enter '2' in the box) and click on the Enable checkbox.

Apply settings.

Now, verify your homeserver by accessing: http://<your-domain>.homeserver.com/

You are all set.

Simba: Do I need to put my router in DMZ or port forwared would do?

Ninna port forwarding to EX set chesinaa.. but still remote thing is not working via EX client on my pc..

Let's do one step at a time.

First, vonage adapter peekesi, cable modem -> router connect cheyyi. Connect EX and another PC/laptop to router. Start the Windows Home Server console in the laptop and connect to EX.

Now, go to Settings -> Remote Access. If you have not configured earlier, click on Configure, choose a domain name under homeserver.com and finish. It will take few minutes to configure the server and your router. You don't need to change any settings on the router.

From any PC/laptop, go to http://<your-domain>.homeserver.com/ and should see the landing page. This means streaming over internet is working.

Congrats...
