LHR is awful anyday. I used it only once and never again will go via LHR. old, dirty, crowded, too big. --- its getting huge upgrades for 2012 olympics and its right in the middle of that for the last 2 yrs..... Otherwise.....Heathrow is good......not great great.... LHR is awful anyday. I used it only once and never again will go via LHR. old, dirty, crowded, too big. I love FRA. Clean, mostly courteous, very efficient. Every gate has two bathrooms. The only thing I don't like about FRA is food - it's just plain awful. When it comes to food SFO, dubai, Doha and any Indian airport are thousand times better than Europearn airports. | ||

Humpty, same experience in 2007. Air India vaadu, same flight but refueling ani aapaadu. SO, we were held up as prisoners in one small room with just one restroom. We had to stand for nearly two hours in that crampy room. But, 2009 lo Lufthansa flight change avvaali kaabatti, Airport antha tiraga galigaamu. very good ..... I realy felt bad for you when you had to wait anxiously......for news..... ended well......I'm sure they will have a great stay with you.... on the other hand.....some of the comments did make me laugh from some US people on DB.....Europe is usually very good in these kind of situations....they dont panic for everything...may be two wars in the last century made them that way.... first time i heard a plane coming into heathrow last night at around 11pm.....that was a after 6 day silence in my area....which is very close to heathrow......well......i have to say......we had a very pleasant 6 days without flights...... Picked them up yesterday evening. They were praising the Airport authorities in Frankfurt Airport. They even said, Airport was better than the hotel. Airport lo every few hours ki edo oka food item (sometimes even rice with Curry), camp beds, bed sheets, socks, toileteries, socks, even fresh underwear ichaaranta. Second day ayithe, "get some fresh air" ani kaasepu bayata kooda thipparanta. Kids aadukuntoo untey, pilichi maree candy icharanta. Also, Diaper bags and baby food kooda supply chesaranta. Frankfurt Airport rocks Flight only 50% full anta, may be ppl are still scared. Monday night test flight from Frankfurt to Chicago ki evaranna vasthaara antey evaroo vellaledata, flight was empty except for everyone's luggage.
