Jalsa:

next time i go to africa, serengeti set cheyali. I would think SA would offer us a smoother transition to africa. SA is the one of the most developed of African nations. Crime rate is obviously high, but general tourist precautions like avoiding alleys, travelling in groups at night set chesthe not a big deal.

TT:

I could have given more info, if I planned any of that stuff, but I let my friends handle that and photography. I travelled a bit, but I am not good at documenting stuff..... hopefully will get better at it :D

i was the most xenophobic of our group, but nothing untoward happened to us or other people we interacted with. we got 8days at the park and by the time, i was feeling very lionish :D, it was time to pack the bags. a african safari along with an exploration of amazon, is just the most awe-inspiring experience one can experience in life. you should definitely try it out if you get a chance. i know i would, when i get another opportunity. :-)

Awesome!!! Would love to go on a African Safari sometime :-) I've watched lot of stuff on discovery/Nat geo about Serengeti Natl Park.

@Gotcha:

adenti ala anesav? South africa undi kada? Kruger national park. totally awesome. went there during mid-2007 with 4 other friends of mine. cost us about 8k$ per head for a 10-day trip. the trip was entirely planned by my friends and they were totally awesome. everything was pre-arranged and i did not even drive..... just put my legs up and chilled out.

the trip was quite magical and nothing prepares you for the roar of a lion in the wild or the trumpeting of a bull elephant. and you lose count of the varieties of birds and insects...... hard to describe in words the feeling of standing on the savannah. we were on our own for the most part but hired a guide for a couple of days. our guide was a very funny dude and he definitely knew what he was talking about. added bonus was he was a good cricket fan and we did discuss some cricket too :D

steve irwin was awesome, but i like jeff-corwin better..... he is by far the most hilarious guy of the animal planet explorers. give his show a try sometime
