James Cameron’s AVATAR 3D set new records in Hyderabad. The film has completed 100 days run on Saturday, March 27th at Prasads Imax theatre in Hyderabad. And it has been seen by over 2,15,000 people in PRASADS IMAX Theater at Hyderabad making it the highest attendance in a single IMAX theater anywhere in India. Added to this, PRASADS IMAX Theater is in the top 3 out of 268 IMAX theaters worldwide for highest attendance for Avatar 3D. Says Mr.Ramesh Prasad: “We have been screening 5 regular shows without a break amounting to a total of 484 shows till date, out of which 286 shows have been houseful shows. This is a Record!” Adds Mr.Srikanth, Head of Operations for Prasads: “The previous highest attendance were for Harry Potter 4 with over 1,31,000, Spiderman 3 with over 1,33,500 and The Polar Express holding the previous record with over 1,71,000 watching it on the PRASADS IMAX 3D.” Prasads has recently converted all screens in its multiplex into Digital Cinema screens with the top of the range Digital Projectors and technologies. One of the screens is also capable of 3D digital projection. This expands the scope for Indian and foreign films wherein many new features can be viewed in 3D.
