Three realtor-brothers were taken captive allegedly by Chiru’s henchmen in connection with a land dispute. According to the Tamil media reports, the three brothers were kidnapped by at least 15 assailants who came in three cars. But after a hot chase, the police could intercept the cars on the East Coast road and rescue the real estate businessmen. The police were believed to have taken into custody Sam Raj, a driver of one of the cars and even registered a case later. But, the case was dropped after Chiranjeevi reportedly used his clout in Chennai to his best effect. Chiranjeevi’s brother-in-law Allu Aravind was said to have pulled his strings with one of Tamil Nadu’s Central ministers and made him convince Karunanidhi to ignore the case. Kidnap or whatever, it’s surprising to see Chiranjeevi calling shots at least outside his own state! | ||
