Anukunnadhi Okkati....Ayyinadhi Okkati.... Flood victims responded to the Telugu Desam (TD) president, Mr N. Chandrababu Naidus call to apply for flood assistance at the TD office during his tour of in flood-hit areas in Kurnool last week.Thousands of flood victims are sending applications, seeking flood relief to local TD offices. News has been circulated that Mr Naidu himself would give flood aid if the government failed to do so. Local TD leaders are worried about this misunderstanding. The TD district convenor, Mr Somishetty Venkateshwarlu, said that Mr Naidu had stated during his tour that flood victims who had not received flood relief from the government, could apply for aid at the local TD office and he would pressurize the government to release aid to them. Local TD leaders are confused on how to react to the vast number of applications. According to TD sources, about 25,000 applications reached the TD office by Thursday and they expect another 25,000 applications in the ensuing days.
