Telanganapuram - 6 Syllables Tellapur - 3 Syllables Change must have come over the years for convenience. A lot of variation between Telangana telugu and Andhra telugu is in the syllables, Telangana telugu knocks off a few syllables for convenience. Tellapur gives it a nice Telangana flavor and ironically Telanganapuram sounds very Andhra. | ||

Rename village: Kavitha Staff Reporter SANGAREDDY: Telangana Jagruti organisation president K. Kavitha urged the district administration to rename Tellapur village in Ramachandrapuram mandal as Telanganapuram. Referring to the historical documents, Ms. Kavitha said that the name of the village was changed in due time of course and it could be given the original name as the panchayat had also passed a resolution in this regard. She presented historical evidences and the resolution adopted by the panchayat to Collector L. Sashidhar. Later speaking to reporters, Ms. Kavitha said that Telangana Jagruthi would submit a report to the Srikrishna Committee on injustice meted out culturally to Telangana. This report was in no way related to the report that would be submitted by the TRS, she added. |
