Justice B N Srikrishna’s comment that the Telangana issue is like a husband-and-wife dispute has kicked up a debate among the political leaders in the assembly lobbies on Friday. Former minister T Jeevan Reddy admitted that it was in deed a dispute between harassing husband and affected wife. “The husband had taken a lot of dowry from the wife and is still harassing her to bring more. He is fleecing her. Hence, she is seeking divorce from her husband,” he said. Government whip Sailajanath, however, felt that the issue could be resolved amicably. “After all, everybody wants to bring amity between husband and wife and settle the family.
