Businessmen, dancers held at pre-Holi bash TNN, Mar 2, 2010, 05.28am IST HYDERABAD: Police arrested 41 persons, including 18 female dancers, for indulging in ‘obscene activities’ during a pre-Holi bash at a resort in Shamirpet on Sunday night. Several businessmen and students gathered at Rave’s Exotica resort at Upparapally for the party. The resort management got dancers from Mumbai and Orissa to ‘entertain’ the customers, Shamirpet CI N Narender Reddy said. But late on Sunday night, police got a tip-off and rounded up the businessmen who were busy dancing with the scantily dressed dancers. Apart from the arrested, cases were registered against the owner of the resort Durga Prasad under Sections 294 (obscene activities) of the IPC and the Cyberabad Police Act. They were produced before court and remanded in judicial custody. |
