You can do DC if you want to. Lots of patelgirl opportunities. Stay in NJ and do NY via subway. Don't drive. If you have friends in NJ/NY it will be easy to figure out options. Since your parents are both academicians, they might enjoy visit to United Nations. My folks did. Parents ki grand canyon anta dandaga inkoti ledu. They will enjoy Vegas.
