Boycott goods, services of Andhra businessmen, says TJAC Special Correspondent To release names of business establishments shortly HYDERABAD: The Telangana Joint Action Committee has resolved to educate people about the need to boycott the goods and services offered by businessmen of coastal Andhra region, who are opposed to Telangana State. The Telangana JAC asserted that it was not against the people of other regions or businessmen who were apolitical, but was opposed to only the ârich and influentialâ people who were creating obstacles in the formation of separate State. âThe JAC will boycott the goods and services of people who are behind the attacks on the agitators and whose comments are provoking youth to commit suicide,â JAC convenor M. Kodandaram said. Prof. Kodandaram said the names of such business establishments that were opposed to separate Statehood to the region would be released shortly after discussing among the constituents of the JAC. Refuting charges that the JAC planned to attack the businesses and people of other regions, he said the committee would conduct a peaceful campaign against the use of goods and services offered by those working against the interests of Telangana. Meanwhile, workers unions of the Singareni Collieries Company Limited deferred their 48-hour strike call from Wednesday following a request made by the JAC. The representatives of the union said the fresh dates for the strike would be announced after consulting members of other unions on February 28. |
