Don't contest again, students tell TRS MLAs The former Telangana Rashtra Samithi MLAs, who claim themselves to be the only heroes in the Telangana movement by quitting their posts, are now faced with an embarrassing situation. The students of OU joint action committee are asking the fresh ex-MLAs of TRS not to contest again in the ensuing byelections, if they are sincere towards the Telangana cause. While participating in a television debate, Ajay, one of the JAC leaders, gave a call to the TRS president K Chandrasekhara Rao not to field the same candidates again in the by-elections, but give tickets to one of the family members of those who had committed suicide for Telangana cause. âGive the ticket to father or mother of Srikantha Chary; or that of Venugopal Reddy or others who committed suicide for Telangana. It is a rich tribute to the departed souls. That way, you can prove that you are not after power or positions. Only then people will think that you are sincerely fighting for Telangana,â he said.
