Parthasaradhi:

The next stage would be appointing judges as governors (in large scale) and involving them in direct and indirect elections.

now that corruption has reached alarming levels in judiciary as well ..

The next stage would be appointing judges as governors (in large scale) and involving them in direct and indirect elections.

This is already happening in administration (IAS and IPS).

Kamal:

As an Indian .. out of the 4 pillars of democracy .. Judiciary is the best and strongest pillar we have in my view ..

The pillars, administration, media and political arms are fully rotten ..

Judiciary is applied tremendous pressure not to deliver justice .. mostly when it involves the political arm; has a stake in the case .. with the administration .. since there is a max tenure to the admin .. the cases are solved atleast after a point of time .. and there is hope that justice is delivered ..

but with the rotten political system like ours .. where political power runs in the backyard of few powerful families .. the judiciary can never stand up and deliver justice as the pressure is applied through generations on the judiciary ..

for all the ills, India today is facing as a country .. the root cause lies in a utterly faulty political system where no "democracy" prevails .. ofcourse .. there is a need for judicial reforms as well .. now that corruption has reached alarming levels in judiciary as well ..

Next RGV movie ki ... story rasavu .. characters eseyi .. screenplay ready aipoddi ..

all that i want to ask is simple .. does it happen in any developer country where .. a person who is convicted after 25 years of ordeal .. has a chance to apply for anticipatory bail .. and then the court which is looking in to it, defers it indefinite number of times??

may be due to the sheer volume of cases or corruption or evidence ni manipulate chesundachu?
---

this is the same line that is being used for years in India.....

Number of cases.....volumes choopinchi they cannot go on continuing this for generatons to come....

asalu...Judiciary meedha ee genration lo evarikaina nammakam or respect unnaya?

speed the process.....put timelines.....for too lenghty cases....more courts....quicker verditcs......ivi lekapothey......chaala nastam mundu mundu....

I hear this new term called.....fast track courts or something......one way to move forward...but lots to be done......

sentencing needs to be stricter as well...parole system needs to re-looked at....

everytime the same escape 'volumes are more' doesnt stand......

what is sheer volume of cases? if u keep deferring a certain number of tasks everyday, would you ever hope to finish all the tasks at hand, someday??

there is a point when you have to setup more courts to just close the deferred cases or close those cases permanently saying we CAN NOT explore them any more.

How do you settle a case which 25 years older NOW?? what new and genuine evidence that u can garner now, and how do you cross verify even if one comes!!! the officials related to the case would have retired by then. Any senior officer associated with that case would have retired in a 25 years time frame. what lousy shit is it that we keep deferring on the anticipatory bail verdict also even now. Why are you deferring so routinely? w

http://news.rediff.com/report/2010/feb/17/riots-hc-defers-he aring-on-sajjans-plea.htm

'84 riots: HC defers hearing on Sajjan's plea

this is about the riots that took place after indira's death in delhi .. now almost 25 years elapsed since the incident took place .. the people who have done the crime, the people who faced the brunt of it, the people who are witness to it .. one generation people would have died .. others would have relocated, migrated or permanently left india ... now who kind of justice that our judiciary can deliver NOW ... after 25 years ..

is there no expiry date for a case in judiciary .. imagine a crime happening in your neighbourhood in front of your eyes and ears.. after 25 years, somebody comes and enquired about it .. do you have more to say about it or less to say about it than what you would have done about the time of event??

what a pity, the person who is convicted in the case is applying for a anticipatory bail, after 25 years!!!! and the court deferred the hearing!!! does any other system/industry/profession gets this much of time to deliver!!! why so much of lenience to the courts!! If they cant deliver justice before an expiry date, scrap the case and hold the promotion of the judge involved.
