Saw all the Oscar nominated movies [Best Movie category] except "Precious" and "An Education". So covered these two over the long weekend. Precious: Parledu, choodable. If Blindside is about a boy, this is about a girl. Monique as Precious's mom, did a terrific job. Movie ending lo 5min scene untadi. Akkada iraga deesindi. I think she is nominated for 'Best Supporting Role'. She might get it. An Education: Idi kooda parledu. Message oriented movie. But Oscar worthy aithe kaane kaadu. a peck on the cheek (maniratnam's amrutha in tamil ) - 3/5 - title song super, good characterization by manu, good acting by madhavan, simran and the little girl, some OA by prakash raj. movie lo koncham drag undhi direction wise , editing could have been better in some of the scenes. as usual some social message in movie by MR Trade - 3/5 - human trafficking pai, real events based cnma antay set chesaa doubt - 3.75/5 - meryl streep, seymour hoffman - take a bow - what power houses you both are...amy adams is also good...screenplay adapt chesina anthanay direction anukuntaa...there were some scenes which a straight director cud have done better | ||
