thanks basky but i heard they are asking all previous original I797's.. But in I797A form its written as.. The I-797A should be in the posession of the employer or petitioner. The lower portion of the I-797A (left stub which summarizes the petition details and the right stub which is the new I-94) should be given to the employee. | ||

As I said earlier: Bottom Left is Receipt and is must at the Port of Entry. Bottom Right is I94 which is also must for your stay here. | ||

In the attorney letter it says bottom left portion is for employee records and can be used in applying for a new visa pripor to returning from an international trip. anyways i will try for original one.. | ||

Overnite fedex kottamanu, if you still in good terms with B. Original Receipt and I94 should suffice. But the upper portion is I129 petition approval. Problem undadu but visa kadaa.. Mana jaagarthalo manam undaali. | ||

thx mc.. i am going thru all documents and the lawyer actually suggested Company B to keep the the upper portion of I797 with them and Give lower portion to me. I have no time now to get that original from Comp B. | ||

Try to get the Original 797A from B. If no way possible, then its fine. Take the xerox and the original left and right bottoms, ie, Receipt and I94. | ||

I am planning to attend h1 visa extension interview. They are are asking for original I797’s in website. Here’s my situation: I came to US with Company A, and has original I797 C for Company A. Then changed to Company B and I checked for original I797 notices, but found only xerox copy. I do have Original bottom left portion of I797A of Company B. Now I am with Company C and I have all original documents.. My Question is – Is it OK to have just bottom left portion of Company B’s I797 form(bottom right portion is I94) and attend the Visa Interview. |
