I also feel hurt friends that in a way just as jews were troubled by the raise of Christ who is also jew, bharat also troubled because buddha born as a Hindu brought new religion. But for him and excuse could be Jainism also as a religion started so it needed to be stopped, may b he thought by running a similar parallel religion he would stop jains. But whatever it is both these led to loss of hindus count. Then due to invasions rajputs also made Sikhism. In recent past it was leftists who took up communism and nowadays as you are sharing it's christ and Muslim conversions. Is all this because of leniency of hindus? I am also not sure. I am also pained to see all these things. Inspite of it, I felt some gap between hindus and Buddhists or for that matter Sikhs, Jain's also should be removed. Mantras for me are mystic. So mantras are not revealed. May be they function like that. I don't know. But whether that is their purpose or whether they are mystic because they are axioms, both ways they are unrevealed. Buddhism uses sutras for anyone to follow and experiment. This means in my opinion they are theorems which means we can make lhs = rhs and prove a statement or a condition. I am sharing my opinion here based the meaning of the verb mantra and verb sutra. So Vedic mantras has been revealed by buddha through detailed and lengthy form sutras is my opinion. Sharing this way of opinion so you may investigate academically and see if there is any validity to my opinion or not. What I born and faithfully studied as a Hindu about our gods and moksha and meditation I after reading Ramayana I realised it take about deathlessness of man which is Amara that is, rama which is opposite of mara or death. If we imagine that Rama is the ideal man, then ideal man doesn't diem so I felt that in this way ramayana teaches that man is immortal. Destiny of man is to see many achievements but of all of them the highest is mentioned as chiranjeevi. While rama story focus on ideal man in society the buddha honors a brahmacharya life and tells it's importance that it is minks and sanyassis who are focused on path to moksha and therefore his teachings focus on becoming enlightened and achieve deathlessness. In this way as the avatar of rama ends in ramayana but nothing is mentioned about hanuman except that he is a chiranjeevi, the buddha talk what happened to thosevwho attain release from samsara. Hinduism mentioned samsara and moksha but a specific and detailed step by step instructions to achieve perfection of brahmacharya were not coded except through vedas and vedanta that describes patterns and experiences and statements. For all these statements the buddha gives detailed and organised instructions. Because that was his purpose as a teacher of monks. The buddha respects the life of monks as they practice brahmacharya for attaining moksha. Now you may want to tell me about the 4 ashramas, I am not making any statements to argue which is correct path. I only tried to say what is not covered detailedly about meditation in Hinduism by the time buddha came, he tried to give those contents because not much was available then. So he formalised ashrama life and made it more abundant and spread monasteries to help monks who are interested. So earlier small kutirs and forests were the places, the buddha focused on bringing them more infrastructure and therefore focused on building large monasteries. This is what I wanted to share regarding buddhism. It has no contradiction on Hinduism for me, but whatever he learn from existing Hindu Dharma he made it more larger to meet the demands of monks and help them in their path. Friends Whatever is left undisclosed by valmiki about hanuman, buddha showed that in practical by becoming Sammasambuddha. And fulfilled what happens in a deathless state. Nirvana and forever the consciousness is through vinnanam anidasanam. So it is the dream of Valmiki who prepared the ground for the Sammasambuddha who gave the dammachakkapavathana. This dharma, no human, or goblin, or gods or evil spirits or brahma or another saint can oppose. Eternal life is in Dharma. If hinduism Dharma is also the highest Dharma, that will also follow the same guidelines of Buddha's teachings. If there are teachings that are not in line with the teachings of buddha then nirvana or deathlessness is not possible. The buddha declared his teachings span all the religions that can form on earth and heaven. He mentioned seeing infinite number world expansion and contraction. Just as the footprint of an elephant is the largest among all animals the buddhas teachings are the largest among any religion or doctrine or philosophy as recorded in the canon as told by buddha. Why I strongly came to conclusion that secularism is a symptom of your society because there were few things we have not adopted and as a result it came to be. Like I analysed, bhagavat Gita also never tried to forcefully drive away any ideology like yoga, sankya, veda, vedanta, shaiva, sakta, vishnava or charvakas and any other. Rather it tried to bring them all together. This pattern continued post independence so only we don't discriminate minorities but uplifted them.
