But the deception is - marketing of the movie - Title - Irumudi ---- why??? - Happy songs - Posters of Raviteja initiating the girl child - Devotional songs None of these are part of the story. They are just there to attract audience, get their attention If the same movie was named "Polluru" with a communist flag beside it, it would have collected 1/3 of what it collected | ||

The subtle message of the movie is this. This is what Shiva Nirvana is preaching with facade of Irumudi, the happy posters of father and child, the Ayyappa songs etc. The marketing materials, posters, the songs are just to deceive people and get their attention. Once they are hooked by the story, this is the poison pill he is making you swallow - Bhakti is a fake emotion. Its a placebo - Ayyappa doesn't lift a finger for you when you are really in trouble. While your child is getting killed, you might be worshipping him by carrying him in "Mallepoola pallaki".
