You are again wrong and think I am promoting Buddhism, i promote secularism and try to bring all religions together. It is for you that which came first is important, that is why you keep holding to that point. For me the teachings are what I want to discuss. Whether that is hinduism, buddhism, christianity, jewish or another. I want to share my insights on universal truths not restricted to any one religion. However, like I said even in buddhism the buddha talks about 20000 year life span , statements like that are un collaboratable so I don't talk about them What is applicable in today's day to day affairs, that I want to talk about. I don't think of people in any way that you are describing, I love my countrymen, whatever I shared to my friends, to my parents, to my cousins, to my colleagues, to my neighbours, to road side danayya I shared it here to dbers also, with love and goodwill. When I was small I didn't know about the world, I relied on the stories of visamitra, ekalavya, karna, venkateswara etc friends, I don't think the teachers I followed taught me to manipulate or cheat. In my school daily I chanted the lord's prayer, I never was told taught to lie in my christian missionary, at least I was naive, so I believed in being truthful all times. I am highlighting again friends deeksha is same as determination, when we associate it with religion we give it special aura. The Obedient Pupil: He was mindful, respectful, and eager to learn. He woke up early, swept the monastery, prepared water, and served his teacher faithfully. The Lazy Pupil: He was deceitful, lazy, and arrogant. He hated doing chores but desperately wanted his teacher to praise him. The lazy pupil developed a habit of stealing credit for the obedient pupilâs hard work. Whenever the obedient monk drew water or swept the grounds, the lazy monk would quickly run to MahÄkassapa right before the elder arrived and say, "Venerable Sir, I did this for you." To put an end to this lying, the obedient monk set a clever trap using warm water: While the lazy monk was sleeping off a heavy meal, the obedient monk boiled a full pot of bathwater. He secretly transferred it into a hidden jar in the back. He left only a tiny splash of water in the main boiler over the fire. This caused a massive amount of steam to pour out, making it look full. The Trap Snaps: The lazy monk woke up, saw the steam, and assumed the bath was ready. He rushed to MahÄkassapa and bragged, "The hot water is ready for your bath, Venerable Sir!" MahÄkassapa walked to the bathroom and found it empty. The lazy monk lowered a ladle into the boiler, only to realize he had been tricked. His dishonesty was completely exposed. Humiliated and angry, the lazy monk sought revenge and praise elsewhere. The next day, MahÄkassapa went out alone to collect alms. The lazy monk stayed behind but secretly visited the home of one of MahÄkassapa's devoted lay supporters. He lied to the supporter, saying, "The Elder MahÄkassapa is feeling very sick today. He cannot come out. He sent me to collect some special food and soup for him." The worried supporter gladly prepared a delicious meal of choice food. The lazy monk took the food, walked to a hidden spot, and ate the entire meal himself. When MahÄkassapa returned, the lay supporter sent word to check on the elder's health. MahÄkassapa immediately realized his pupil had committed a grave sin by lying and stealing food using his teacher's name. MahÄkassapa sat the lazy monk down and gently but firmly corrected him. He explained the dangers of lying, laziness, and greed. Instead of being grateful for the guidance, the lazy monk flew into a blind, vengeful rage. The very next morning, while MahÄkassapa was out walking for alms, the angry pupil took action: He smashed all the clay water pots and utensils in the monastery. He grabbed a torch and set fire to the entire leaf-hut monastery, burning it to the ground. He fled the area, completely abandoned the monkhood, and died shortly after. Due to his terrible karma (arson and harming a noble monk), he was immediately reborn in the AvÄ«ci Hell. When word reached the Buddha at the Jetavana Monastery, he used the tragedy to teach a vital lesson. He explained that a person who is foolish, untruthful, and proud cannot be a true friend to anyone.
