as far as i Know there is no per year limit on how much you can contribute. but most states put a cap on the total amount in the plan. some states cap it at 300k some at 500 what that means is lets say you are saving for a kid starting at age 1. you keep depositing 10k every year and for 5 years. so thats 50k and luckily what ever fund u invested in had a phenominal growth and it the 6th year it went from 50k to 400k, if you state limits contributions at 300k , you cannot make any new contribution any more . | ||

most of these funds managed my companies like fidelity, vanguard etc. enrolling in any of these funds is like buying mutual funds or etfs | ||
