that depends on you..if those are mid cap stocks...then its better to go for more no. of stocks.. if those are large and gaint stocks then 5 are good enough,provided you have done enough research about those comapanies future earnings.. otherwise take 5 well proven stocks likes of HDFC BANK and Bajaj finance etc.. | ||

bhayya.. if you are real longterm investor..you will not have these kind of questions.. if you invest in 10 diverified portfolio stocks..in that even if one or two stocks goes down you will end up with gains only.. market always gives lot of opportunites..so that you can switch into another stock when one stock is getting beaten ( you analise it..why it is getting beaten..is there any sign of recovery in near term..if yes load it ..if not then come out of that and get in to any other value stock.) | ||
