In terms of ROI, Tesla should never be an option. There are better alternatives like Prius if you calculate gas savings. Tesla is purely premium vehicle with lots of bells & whistles, also happened to be an EV. The driving experience demands the costs. We can never buy a BMW against Kia on mere monitory terms. Driving experience aka gulanandam makes the difference. | ||

Tesla is like iphone amongst android phones. Nissan leaf, prius, bajaj scooters tho compare cheyodu please. Even if other luxury brands release their EV’s telsa could lead the market share. one thing i dont understand is when will tesla EV investment is going to be paid back. say i buy a loaded bmw x3, i can get it for say 60k. a loaded tsla suv will go upto 100k. difference 40k. say BMW expenses over 5 yrs is 10k for gas. say tsla has no expenses in these 5 yrs (electricity costs neglible anukundam). still 30k is not recovered and it will take more than 10-15 yrs to recoup ur investment, thats a long time. in the mean time gas prices can go down because of more move towards EV and the gap will never fill.
