no,i meant..about the copies of papers you signed Ask for atleast for a copy of blank forms ,if signed copies are not possible For patients data,there are privacy issues involved.But there should be no problem for them to give copy of portion of the forums you signed Or just go to the counter where you have signed the forms and ask them if you can see the blank forms (without mentioning anything related to the case) | ||

Go to hospital and ask for copies of the forms you have signed If there is any financial liability/obligation on your part,then you need to think about it If at all there is any liability on you,they will send notice to you before going to collection | ||

I went to the hospital today to do some negotiating.. They said they cannot even open the file and look at the record as patient did not authorize me..in case patient calls or mails saying that xyz can talk on my behalf, then they will talk to me about this case antunnar.. I don’t know if I signed the financial liability doc.. pls check and tell ante.. no.. nothing doing without authorization antunnar.. Fight with the insurance company while you negotiate with the hospital. Do you know why the hospital only paid 4k. Pre-existing conditions clause tho eggotara? If possible share the insurance agency details. One of my friend 1) Negotiated with the hospital to reduce the amount 2) Agreed on an installment plan with the hospital and 3) Fought with the insurance company during this time to have them cover for more. It is time taking but it will save you money (much less than 50k that you are being asked to pay). If you give your SSN, they may attach it to you at some point. Those days are gone where you can say, I am not responsible. they are coming after these. My 2c | ||

You arr npt responsible for anything. It is her bill and her insurance paid whatever they pay. Call hospital billing department and tell them that she cannot afford to pay the bill. They will ask you fill in a form on her behalf and write a letter explaining why she cannot afford it. I don't remember if I had to submit any supporting documents for Patient's incone. Hospital will forgive the bill. Remember, as long as bills are on her name, you don't owe them anything. Hospital will try to tell you all sorts of things to get money out of you, don't fall for their crao. If they tell you that you singed responsibility form, ask them to send you a copy to verify. | ||

Check the forms/agreement again..ask hospital for the copies May be you have signed as guarantor or some sort of liability agreement If you contact the hospital finance dept and plead them that you can not afford,they will reduce the bill The hospital will settle for max 50%..If you can afford,pay it and ask for extended payment plan..so that you can pay in Installments Also,contact the Insurance company and file claim, send the copies of medical bills and ask the to settle In case you have not signed any financial liability docs,just ignore the bills | ||

MIL visit ki vachar few months ago..we got visitor insurance...she got struk with pneumonia and 3 days hospitalized.. after 3 months ippud bill 54k pampadu intiki...insurance odu 4k covered andulo...working with him on it..but looks like thats what he will give.. ippud options enti...she is out of the country by the way.. should i try negiotiating ?
