no,you have to first stay in India at a stretch for one year,then apply for Indian citizenship, once approved you can renounce US citizenship and collect Indian citizenship | ||

Does anyone know how long it takes for someone to renounce USC and take back Indian Citizenship? Details: Person in question came to US on Indian passport & F1. Got H1, GC, USC...went to India.
