Don’t take any risk if it got ticketed under misdemeanor or felony. Try to negotiate through an attorney, they’ll take care to convert that into a regular speeding ticket. I once had this experience at Virginia for 84MPH at 55MPH, he booked me with a class 1 misdemeanor. I negotiated it through an attorney who charged me $850. Ignore if it is a regular speeding ticket. Finally got my first one in my life....that too out of State/Country... doing 72 in 55 (suddenly speed limit lowered from 65 to 55) and I missed it and was caught in a flash(realized it was 55) Ticketed and was told to mail it ( plead guilty or not) if I don’t want to come over in person Forums are suggesting to go for ‘’plead not guilty’ and the DA will give option to lower the speed and they convert to Parking ticket... it is common practice for NY state to cash some drivers What are my options to deal with plead not guilty by mail... anyone has a letter written to the prosecutor? Called a lawyer.. he quoted $500 fee... asked him to fold it WE THE NORTH |
