 we are to assume.. that Arya's training for those 5 or 6 years, and faceless man.. helped her do that..
When she trains with syrio, he teaches her the importance of being quick as a cat, quick as a water snake.. she keeps practicing that..
with faceless men, she practices the art of smells, blending into surroundings... in the show.. they definetly used alot of "liberty".
firs they show us, NK trying to get this sword out... at this point ... they change the music.. all our senses have already forgot about every other character... then they switch to Jon .... they show out of frustration, how he screams at the ice dragon... we automatically focus on Jon.. and think WTF.. is he going to die... now to major characters.. are about to die... the ones we expect to kill NK...

Yes, they knew or atleast had an inkling of what Jon Arry was up to. they did not act on it yet.
They openly wonder, if he found something, if he talked to someone, they also wonder about Lhysa..if she knew something.
LF uses all of this information. Including Ser Hugh.
LF knows that Jon is investing Cersei and Jamie. He gets her killed by Lhysa.. sends a letter to Catelyn saying lannisters killed him... at this point ned comes to Kings landing.
In the guise of helping , LF indicates that Ned needs to speak with Ser Hugh, a squire of Jon Arryn, who got Knighted and got richer after Jon Arryn died.
Ser Hugh dies in a joust with Mountain, before Ned could speak with him. Ned wonders who might have picked the draw of the joust.. and then assumes that it was Cersei and/or Jamie who did it.
basically - LF comes across as more trustworthy... as he gave Ned a good lead. but then how did Ser Hugh get killed? What did LF do to get Ser Hugh killed, so the suspicion on Cersei is solidified.. is something we never know.
Even Varys thinks it is Ser Hugh who killed Jon Arryn... When he meets Ned in the dungeon, he talks about a man who shares his meat and mead.. could have done it..
Added to this... someone tries to kill Bran, and when Catelyn brings the dagger to Kingslanding.. LF, swiftly uses it for his benefit. He lost the dagger to King Robert.. but says he lost it to Tyrion.
At that point - Lannister/Stark relationship was effectively dead.
He has both sides on war footing, and he appears to help Ned.. and switches side to Cersei...
Cersei/Jamie completely get played by LF, just like he played with Ned. Ned knows LF betrayed him.. but Cersei doesnt yet have a clue how LF played her. |

example ...
the conversation between maggy the frog and cersei goes like this..
Cersei askss .. "will the king and I have kids"...
Maggy responds .. " 10 and 6 for him, 3 for you"
now, the question was will Cersei and king have kids.. clearly the three kids are not from Robert.. which invalidates the prophecy... or atleast there is some possibility of being not entirely true.
next .. she says.. Gold will be their crowns or something... which is not true.. if crown she meant was the actual crowns.. only joffrey and tommen got to wear them... may be she meant, that the three will have golden hair... again.. the question was about the kids of cersei and the king..
so i dnt think prophecy can be entirely relied upon... may be Maggy the frog, did not "look" enough to know.. Ceresei and Jamie will have a thing.. and the kids are not kings kids... may be she just saw some vision which shows her three kids... and since the other kid dies.. when he was weeks old.. she did not see it...
in the end... Cersei believes the prophecy to be true.. doesnt make it necessarily to be true.
I think another possibility is.. and I think that probably is the write answer is.. Show writers messed it up. |

i think Varys know about Gendry, even before that. Gendry is joined as an apprentice to one of the best blacksmiths in kingslanding... the blacksmith says.. somebody paid for Gendry, double the usual amount they would pay for an apprentice. ...

this is another thing Show has changed  . In the books, there are two bastards that are of interest.
1) Eddrick Storm - Robert knows about this •••••••, and he sends him to Renly and then to Stannis for fostering. he is in dragon stone castle along with Shereen... Melisandre actually he uses his blood for her magic. Davos saves Eddrick Storm, and sends him on a boat during night...
2) Gendry - the one who is with blacksmith.
Show combined these too...
it could be Gendry's mother is a higher up. I dont think show will dwelve into this much anymore.. for some reason they are in a rush to finish it all off.

It is really difficult to get rid of royal kid. Not sure, what Cersei would have gained by keeping him alive, but away from her. I dont think there is just strong evidence for her to say that.

Sony:1. All targeryns have white hair, jon snow has black hair, whats the logic behind
Targeryens were always obsessed with their bloodline.. and the ability to control Dragons. Until Rhaegar, they always married with in siblings. Mad King married his sister, but Rhaegar did not have sisters.. and that is the first time, a would be contender to the throne is married to someone outside the family... from Dorne -Ellia Martell.
As a result of marrying within in siblings..they all tend to have the same colored hair .. the silver hair. as both parents shared the same color hair. When it comes to Jon, Rhaegar had silver hair, but Lyanna had black hair.
In the stark family - Ned had black/brown hair, Catelyn had red hair..

Arya has black/brown hair

Believe it or not, Gendry is one of the more mysterious characters alive in the show, as to what his purpose and role will be.
There is a difference in character of Cersei between the show and the books. In the books, she is psychotic. in the books, she is shown to have more empathy.
In the books, Cersei, actually kills her son with Robert in the womb.. she drinks moon tea(in the books, it is supposed to kill pregnancy), and she does this with spite of Robert... She hates her.. from the day he says Lyanna during their first night... and she realizes he never loved her...
In the show, they changed it to where the kid was born,but dies in the first week. Is the kid actually dead, or is it Gendry... i dont think anyone knows. It is really difficult to get rid of royal kid. Not sure, what Cersei would have gained by keeping him alive, but away from her. I dont think there is just strong evidence for her to say that.
But, if thats the case, who has been helping Gendry? It is clear, that Gendry was being taken care of, by someone all through his life. I suspect it is Varys.
I suspect it is Varys, who has arranged for Gendry to go to night's watch, when Joffrey starts tracking all of Robert's bastards and kill them.
In the books, it is Cersei, who orders the kill of all bastards..
I just think that Cersei, telling the story about black haired baby, that looked just him(Robert), was to signify the golden haired joffrey and other kids.. might not be his. but who knows... |

Lannisters and Boltons are an alliance. Boltons are the warden of North. He also knows Stannis is trying to fight the Boltons for Winterfell.
His current position is Lord Protector of Vale .. and if something happened to Robert Arryn he will become the Lord Of Vale - atleast he can lay claim, and if the crown supports it, it will happen.
But for him to gain control of the North, he needs to break the alliance between Boltons and Stannis. So he tells Cersei, that Sansa is in Winterfell - and Boltons are marrying Ramsay to her. Sansa was not in Winterfell, but she was with him Vale. Cersei, now thinks that Boltons are playing a game by hiding Sansa.
He convinces Cersei, that he would let Boltons and Stannis fight and whoever is remaining in Winterfell, will take them over using army of the Vale.
Then Cersei promises him, that she will declare him the Warden of North. at this point, I think he would have asked Cersei to leave Sansa for him.
that is when he sends Sansa to Boltons.
He basically used Sansa to plant doubts in Cersei's mind regarding Boltons, and gains favor from Cersei...
At this point of his plan.... Jon is not in the picture. I do not think, his plan would have changed much. He would have made additional plans to handle Jon |

Sansa was the only one living... so who ever marries Sansa, can TRY to claim as the lord of winterfell.. but if the other lords disagree.. there is nothing Sansa's husband can do.
Ramsay Bolton was already named the lord of winterfell, but he married Sansa only to please the common folk and other lords... other lords would have easily deserted Ramsay, if Sansa wasnt there.. and if Ramsay was not backed by the throne.
Littlefinger did not expect Jon Snow, would get a chance to DESERT nights watch. he still expects Sansa to be the prime contender.. if he can influence other lords.. but it did not work the way he planned.. so he started pitting Sansa against Jon.. Sansa against Arya and so on |

its because.. all through her life.. whenever she listened to someone else's advice.. it turned out bad for her...she tries to take advice, but it never seems to work in her favor. atleast, thats how it appears.
How can she trust whatever Jon Snow said... even if she "loves" him... she has every reason to distrust him.
the dragon ride does probably convince her a targaryen.. but it does not mean Jon is legitimate heir to the throne.
If she did not care about Jon, and did not care about how she got the throne.. she would have been on throne by now. |

Retelling something like Mahabharat will be an epic
1) when there is a new mass medium (like doordarshan in 80s)
or
2) people have forgotten about it, lost their cultural identity ( converted to a different religion/culture)
second case is easier if we can find a secular country which will accept a foreign mythology, entertain the values it brings and pump money, resources to that place....oh, wait! we have seen this picture |
