Aa age lo maturity takkuva and impulse ekkuva. It happens. Also the competitive nature of intermediate makes it very hard. I remember top5 people were separated by 3 marks during my time. These kind of mistakes used to happen every time but in a very small scale. There used to be very few valuators who are very difficult in grading or pure jerks. Generally that would be less than 1% and handful of students used to get affected. The experiences in this thread seems like those . It happened to me in first year as well. I scored about 95% + in all other subjects but my chemistry was 27 out of 60( borderline passed). I was a class topper aspirant and that put me out of top 25. Chala debbesindhi. I remember being ashamed and unable to go out freely. Nenu tappu chesinattu feel ayyanu. I begged my parents for revaluation ( which is an expensive affair for middle class folk), but my dad said to focus on 2nd year and take the betterment ( I don't know if this still exists but in my says you had a second go at first year to improve your marks). I did that and got wiring top 5 but things were not same. Competition lo konni sarlu ila external factors valla debba thinte oka rakamaina depression vasthundhi... konchem weaker support system vunna kids will be driven to extreme measures . I am in UK, they need +2 marks certificate.. might have questioned it you never know what visa office wants.. Its more about grade than marks i guess SVH lo 94 lo EEE undi .. I completely agree.. when you are just 18 years old ... you dont have the same maturity as now. you take lot of life changing decisions than if not for good support around I hvae seen one of my school mate taking life because he dnt make it through EAMCET (not sure what happened in those 3hours wjhle taking exam).
