Bran time travelling is because of the weir wood trees. Weir Wood trees are not isolated trees across westeros, but are all inter connected. If you remember the cave of the three eyed raven, or the crypts of winterfell, no body know how the deep the caves between the roots go. It seems the trees roots are larger than the tree above the ground. Cutting down a weir wood tree, does not kill it unless its roots are literally separated. Children of the forest, when one of them is dead, they bury them inside the weirwood tree, and the tree melds them into itself, along with the physical body, the tree retains all the memories of the dead into it. that is how the tree remembers all of the history. anyone who is dead where they can get meld in to the tree, the tree retains the memories. They eyes carved into the trees, also allow children of forest to see through the trees, at things happening now. Once Bran learnt to tap in to the weir wood tree network, he was able to traverse through the trees in the westeros, and look into all the memories of trees.. that is how he can access the past. He does see how the night king was created... but he does not have any other information regarding who the man himself was before becoming night king. he needs to know more on where to look. I think he will learn that Night king is a start, and will traverse through all the ancestors on winterfell crypt memories of his ancestors.. and may eventually find it. Night King is very likely a stark, who can tap into weirwood network. Night King is more experienced, and that is how he was able to get to Bran, in Bran's vision , when he was traversing the network. A warg can identify when another warg is around.. and since Bran was warging into some being, Night King was able to identify him. | ||

Night King hasn't ridden a Dragon yet. All he has ridden is the dead Zombie version of the dragon which is now an Ice Dragon. Night King and Zombie folks still have issues with Valyrian Steel, Old Magic and Fire. I don't believe Night King has anything to do with Targareyan bloodline. He is most likely frm Stark Bloodline but not necessarily Bran. | ||
