Nothing will replace real hands-on experience. Having said that, yes Certifications will draw eyes. Certs are used as a entry-level replacement when you don't have real-time experience. Do you think acquiring industry standard certifications is a good thing for the career? I understand that certs are, by no stretch of imagination, a replacement for real experience. However, do they augment your experience? Do they add any value if you already are working in that domain? Do they help you get started if you don't have any experience? (For instance, will you - as a tech recruiter - consider a person who has an AWS architect certification but no real experience - for a role that is not very senior?)
