I have always been on Samsung . So cant speak on phone change... edo last TG ki aayasa padi .. kondam Iphone anukuna.. but gaveup looking at lines.. Programming .. i hav switched multiple times..conceptually all is same.. syntactical sugar matrame different..which i get used to with practice.. But then i dont believe in memorising this.. a reason y i find it difficult when BiggBoss etc say whiteboard intws.. Keyboard is definitely something that takes time to get used to. However, Mac still has some ways to go as far as SSO, Domain join with AD, CA certificate management etc. But yeah, managing well now.
This is also a software change, right? Android to IOS? I have no problems shifting from LG to Samsung for instance. This world appearance is a confusion: even as the blueness of the sky is an optical illusion. I think it is better not to let the mind dwell on it, but to ignore it. | ||

i believe you can think of it 2 ways : 1) The software shift - from Android to IoS, C++ to Python, etc This comes easily, if you are good with one - its all semantics.. in many cases now, software has evolved to make it generic across multiple platforms.. so as long as you can brush up concepts should be good.. 2) The hardware - this is relatively tough.. changing keyboards changing phones driving sides etc deeniki no easy fix.. need to rewire yourself.. brahma satyam jagan-mithyä jivo brahmaiva näparah | ||

It depends on your perspective, I use Mac only for my personal and work and most comfortable on it. Keyboard is probably an issue until you are stuck in the windows mode. It comes natural to me now and I feel out of water on IBM based keyboards now. The universal friend, vishwamitra was here. | ||

I am not talking about shifting from Java to .NET or Oracle to SQLServer etc. As a user of technology, what are your views on shifting from one platform to another? For instance, I've been a long time Android user - But I see some merits in shifting to an iPhone. However, it is a big move and I need to rewire a bunch of neurons in my brain so that the tasks I handle subconsciously or via muscle memory happen the same way. However, the thought of moving from Android to iPhone is so scary that I have been putting it off. On the laptop front, I grew a pair of balls and shifted to my MBP2015 as my main computer from a Surface Book. I still use SB for a couple of tasks (Expenses for instance) but while the first two days were brutal at the workplace, now I am completely comfortable working on a Mac in a domain-joined context. In fact it is better as I have access to a command prompt where I can use Linux bash scripting. In general, docker, helm, git etc are much better on Mac (My personal observation. Not a blanket generalization statement). However, the butterfly keyboard! Jesus Christ! My spacebar is stuck and the letter B doesn't work. Not sure if Apple would help as the laptop of out of warranty. (It is my personal laptop). I am due for a refresh of my Surface Book now. I can choose a Surface Laptop 2 or go with the latest MacBook Pro. Still in two minds about this. While my company is Mac friendly - there are a few (numbers going down by the minute though) applications and LOB services that require Windows. There's a browser equivalent in most of those cases but it is not as convenient as a native application. However, I see that Apple still has not fixed the butterfly keyboard. Does it make sense to get a Mac now or wait for a year more for a refreshed and hopefully fixed version of the MBP? My wife shifted recently from MacOS to Windows 10 and she seems to be loving the change. Different strokes I guess. Have you made such shifts from one platform to another? What is your coping mechanism or strategy if you will? Could you please share your experiences as well? This world appearance is a confusion: even as the blueness of the sky is an optical illusion.
