Thanks brother for starting this thread. For my son, we are seeing ok progress, we are sending him to School setting three days a week and 2 days private ABA therapy. I am not sure what's working and not working. We are just trying our option. We are also taking him to Private speech therapy, PT and OT too. He pronounces few words. He would say A to Z I mean for some letters it's not clear but he understands it. Its a challenge and we have to fight it out. Patience undali that's the biggest pain point I am very impatient but slowly I am learning to be patient.

We also started Nemecheck protocol, not sure if its working but I know few folks who had tremendous improvement in speech.

Once the kid has some level of speech, motor skills etc he/she needs opportunity to learn from typical kids. That is how any kid learns - watching other kids n imitating which in a one-one setting they don’t get to. Once the kid develops the skill of imitating others it will open up a whole new phase of exponential learning. It took my kid two years to get there but now he wants to do everything his brother does, which is good n bad ):

Anthamidhya:

ABA in pre school setting or purely at clinic.

he is eligible for ABA at public school, but we didn't choose to send him to public school,

he is going 8hrs a day ABA to private school, initially they used to come in home therapy, they just do ABA one on one..

all are spectrum kids in that school..now my priority is to send him for speech..not may are covers the insurance, the one which covers the insurance has waiting time..

Also is he getting ABA in pre school setting or purely at clinic. From what you described he can benefit the most in small group setting with typical kids with therapists in the class room helping him.
There will be providers that go to school n help. Talk to your current therapist and ask if that is his next step

Good to hear.
If you haven’t started speech, go for it. Speech therapy helps them a lot but it will take time to see progression. Nouns easy for them but verbs, pronouns etc will take time and a good therapist will work on the same.

It is has been long time since we had conversation on autism

i thought of posting some updates.

my kid is 3 years 3 months

we made tremendous progress since a year with lot of pain sorrow and joy..we are almost there at finish line anipisthundi.

he had good motor skills and learning , speach delay and unable to follow the directions, no health issues, regular on vaccination

so far he learnt to say many names of fruits, toys, puzzles on ipad, words ,1 to 100 numbers(he can actually type all of them in note pad), some multiplication tables(i don't no how he picked up,probably from you tube)

he repeats almost all the things what i ask him to say, he started showing emotions, he can read my face if i am angry or happy.

very little improvement in conversations ,question and answers..asks for water ,help, for his mom etc..

went to Disney in last dec, he do recognized the mickey song, started saying m i c k e y mouse etc..

he goes to 5 day a week,8hrs a day ABA, planning to put him in speech therapy(suggestions needed),insurance cover avuthado ledu teleedu,
i talked to couple of speech therapists, long waiting time, county covers full time school ABA and speech, but we didn't like the county services and rejected.
he is 15% at speech, but in his brain he knows lot more words and try to express, if i am able to spend lots of lots of time i see lot of improvement.
Please suggest any developments and improvements in treatments for spectrum kids.
