Yes, I second this. Just do the pre-setup /homework(which can be used as a generic template). 1) Try to find your options to sell the car ASAP (example: CarMax/local dealer trade-in/ a friend who can sell for you(you need to give him an affidavit and signed title) etc. 2) Find a friend whose address you can re-route the mails and other communication- note that you must update your USCIS address change online.) 3) Give a general limited power of attorney to someone in US that you trust much(this helps them to act on your behalf when you only are the signing authority). All the above you can pre-prepare, talk to them and keep ready. If your H1 goes south, quickly pull these, work on them and you had ground established. | ||

extension reject aithe officially its zero days grace, we have to leave country right away....60 days grace period is only for current job layoff on h1b...everybody knows we cannot leave on the same day, so within 2 weeks lo vellipothe it will be easily explainable in future if any question comes up about why overstay... Other than selling car, you need to update your address everywhere or atleast temporarily reroute your mails to some friend so if you miss some bills you will get to know...Bank account lo we can update foreign address, recently one of my friend did this in BOA, I don't think we need to close... | ||

No hope that it will be approved. suppose couple of months tharvatha petition rejected ante how much time i will have before leaving the country? I am asking this so that i can sell car etc stuff in advance and be prepared to leave. what all things should we do before leaving the country 1) driver's license .. cancel ? 2) bank accounts .. close ? 3) what about SSN ? any other things which we need to take care off .. before leaving 4 good.../// First of all I hope it gets approved. next..only car lantivi chusukondi. As per the law, he can stay till the date which was requested to extend on the extension petition. But he CANT ear(work) for the Employer(who is filed the petition under which its pending currently) after 240 days. So, Stay is OK till the requested extension date(while pending), Work is not OK after 240 days. | ||
