Last_avataar:

But as per rules they were not talking about 90 days grace period. They say you need to renuciate ASAP. but some people on the forums say they traveled with evisa as they need to travel with in 90 days,

This is the official rule :

There is a grace period of three months after acquisition of foreign nationality (to be counted from the date of registration / Naturalisation Certificate and not from the date of foreign passport) for using Indian passport for travel.

No Bro, my wife got pp in Feb end
She will travel by end of May or June

So that option is ruled out.

Thanks Bro, what if , if you travel on e-visa, but donot surrender in India
once you can back you can surrender here right ?

if you want to travel to India, without surrendering, then why to go for evisa at all ?
Just use your Indian passport..go to India and then surrender and apply for OCI

I think there is 3 months grace period for travelling on Indian passport after getting third country citizenship

Last_avataar:

can a person travel to India using e-visa using US PP, without renunciation of Indian PP ?

You can travel..but you have to pay fine for each travel when you surrender your passport

Also the e-visa application asks for your previous nationality and place of birth and may check records if you possess active Indian passport

Hi,

After US Naturalized,
- can a person travel to India using e-visa using US PP, without renunciation of Indian PP ?
- can we surrender Indian PP in India on e-visa, using passport portal in India ? (if can surrender in US also )

because to get Visa / OCi we need a surrender certificate
