There is here and there.. Both in Arranged marriages and Love. But it isn't like age old days.. Girls' side give a share in their aasthi in the name of the girl. Girls' side bare a share in marriage expense. Girls' side give some gold in the name of bride. etc. etc. This again, is justifiable, if all the above are on par with what the guy is bring to the table.  ala kaakunda, unjust ga evarayina ammayila family egabadi ekkuva isthunte, then the girl's family simply thinks that their daughter is a liability which they'll have to let go for a loss. | ||

This can be justified in those days. A woman was considered a liability coz she wasn't working and if she wants to enjoy the privilege of a rich house, then she definitely has to bring equal assets/cash to the table. oorike theraga thinadaaniki extra candidate ni evaru thechi pettukuntaaru.. my friends in india are saying they are not getting wives ....as girls are unavailable to marry... this is particularly pronounced in ECEC cases...till 2012-13....there used to be a demand for guys and dowry used to be in range of 3-45 C for average ECEC.... now when i called them...i dont want dowry....good girl is enough ...i just want to marry....  ....................... my position....i am rejecting left and right.... till now i rejected 6 girls in 2 years....a turk, a french, 2 aryans and 2 indian.... maga simham here....  Capacity vundi, laziness, and uninspired life is a waste of time. YOLO kada.... But experiences is how you bring meaning to life. Worthiness should be earned with adequate efforts. |
