I have realized, Any fandom which relishes on the wins and losses and scores of their idol,is just the process of choosing one of the best people in the business according to our sensibilities and owning their wins and losses and getting to feel/own the ultimate highs of successes and lows of such scale with zero contribution. In their own lives it would a very slow process and extremely impossible process to excel in the work and score successes of such magnitude and get to feel the high of a success of such magnitude. And we are choosing only from the best of bests, making it lot easier to get access such highs.

I think ideal way to deal is just enjoy their work and leave it at it. How much it ever collects has nothing to do with a fan ever because you literally have no contribution to the project whatsoever, so how can you own the win/loss which comes with it and feel good or bad about it in the pov of owning.
