But to be honest....TDP actually put up a good show - in fact they have spent f money - which is a positive sign for the party.....And look at the dists where they got majorities Skklm,Krishna, WG, guntur, Prakasam and Anantpur excepting for Skklm - migitha dists lo valla vargam strong(relatively) so they are prepared for a fight and are rallying behind the party | ||

You are opening up the discussion now...Let the people enjoy this result :-) For 2014, situation is very very fluid - 1/2/3 states plus Hyd as common capital...and ofcourse a Kapu / BC as CM candidate from Cong will make a crucial difference naa ancestral village lo Cong MLA's own cousin and very close confidant contested as TDP supported candidate and Cong supported a dummy first and then supported this man later after ditching that dummy:-) So the result goes into TDP's khatha - but who is actually enjoying the power - without spending a penny???? | ||

I totally agree with the voting pattern and would like to give a best example. For the Kothapeta panchayat in East Godavari, there is a direct fight between Congress supported candidate and TDP & YSRC combined supported. People are surprised to see Reddy Subrahmanyam (TDP BC Leader at the state level and it's MLA candidate) and Chirla Jaggireddy (YSRC in charge for Kothapata) are campaigning for one candidate. This is due to local politics. TDP may claim this seat if wins but in the reality, it will be in the third place in 2014 elections as it was in 2009. The bottom line is, claiming these numbers are nothing but living in a fools paradise. Not only Kothapeta but in the entire Konaseeema, TDP is nowhere. In Ramachandrapuram segment where it represented before, could not win a single panchayat shows that strong BC group, settibalija went away from TDP. Lets see how it will be in the future. | ||

Do not take this a a parameter. Panchayathi lo local candidate affiliations are more important....and a TDP supported person in panchayathi may support Cong in the General elections and vice versa unless he happens to be hard core cadre.....PLus in general elections factors like CM candidate, Caste etc play a role But one things is - Cong lost in many places my double digit vote margin - in some places by single digit difference also.... Will Jagan become Andhra Yedyurappa and split Congress vote in future.... ofcourse J fans ki valle KING ani lokam lo unnaru - that is a different issue | ||

these election reflects that nobody have absolute majority. TDP has slight edge. but i don't think anybody will get 50 percent seats in next elections unless two of these three have pre-poll alliance.. | ||

1. Elections were held for about 1/3rd of the Grama Panchayats in the state....Wait for the other 2 rounds 2. The actual number will come in only after a couple of days. There are sarpanches who were supported by both TDP and CONG and they won. So whose candidates are they? The clear picture will come only after the entire results come 3. If this is an indication of the ground level support of the cadre, then both TDP and Cong can be happy with the result. Jagan is doing harm to Cong than the TDP 4. Jagan party can only go downhill from here. The cadre who were on a high after the bye-elections last year (emotional wave) will slowly drift back to Cong and TDP | ||
