me too lions kooda appudappudu cheetahs ni champesthu untayi mistaking it for leopard.. and cheetahski inka peddha problem enti ante..kasta padi food samapadinchukunaka..hyenas lantivi vachi tarimesthayi cheetahsni..hyenas groupslo untayi general ga..cheetahs dont have the power to counter them... it can neither drag its food to top of a tree and eat like a leopard..due to lack of powerful muscles in the top protion.. starvation tho kooda ila cheetahs pothu untayi.. anni directionslo cheetahski padindhi.. Anyways I just finished reading "Into great silence: A memoir of discovery and loss of vanishing orcas" by Eva salutis...it is a great book and will tear up grown men Chaduvu kudirite..it is abt the story of a vanishing pod of Orca whales (shamus) that inhabited the Alaskan prince will sound bay for thousands of years..one single oil spill in 1989 devastated the thriving pod and there are only 7 surviving adults by 2011..they did not give birth to any calves after the oil spill and are @ the brink of extinction Eva salutis had begun her career studying this pod of whales back in 1983 and is witnessing decades of her research animals vanishing from the face of the earth..every whale has a distinct personality and playfulness and calls..so a death is not just a number, it is the loss of a unique personality Anyways the book goes out to prove how seemingly simple disasters by man could end up wiping out species that existed millions of yrs on the planet..ironically the book starts off with the authors recollection of a final bird (forgot the type of the bird) that was searching for its dead mate and in the process breathed its last..this was shown on tv - can u imagine the image of the death of a species? | ||
