there are several govt banks which offer better than that. private banks above 1 lac as a single deposit in a branch is risk. gtb,utibank have gone into oblivion... better go with any govt bank like state bank or andhra bank etc etc and have relax peace time. If there was a thread already on this topic, please excuse me. I have few questions on the FD 1) What are the pros & cons of this FD? 2) are there any banks offering better rate than ICCI? 3) what should be ideal term? ( I am in no hurry to get the interest as i am planning this for my kids education) 4) any alternatives? or any hidden rules & regulations on ICICI FD.
