I did not say she is not power hungry.... Money vunte vundindhi ley... But i dont think shes the type to enjoy it. I dont recall seeing her wearing fashionable designer bags in recent times.. Etc So again this shows money is not her primary motive, and party needs funds so even if it is a motive it makes. Sense. I am not saying she is a saint. Analyze objectively every major event in Sonia's life, what she has been/is doing, then ask why did do what she did. Who were Sonia's parents? What did they do? What are they now? Who are her friends? What does she do at all in her life - rarely attends parliament, no press conferences, very rare public appearances, doesnt give much time to party folks except the selected few .. we know so little of her - yet we want to paint her "Saint Sonia" .. Nuetral gaa aloochisthe - She really revived the congress party which everyone thought was dead in 97/98. Hats off to her staying power. Motive- is obviously ego, power, money etc etc - the same thing that drives all politicians...but coming with so many negative criterion (foreign background, not much support in the party initially) - she has done a remarkable job of bringing the party to power in 2004. 91 lo there were strong rumours that she left the country - Infact she was not seen in public at all for 6-7 yrs except for some photo exhibition or some book release. 95% of the people in her position would have left the country, gone back to Italy and enjoyed life..... And that is why there is always One leader and many followers.... | ||
