Rice-water ratio deopends on the rice..ma intlo soft ga prefer chestaru andaru so usually 1- 2.5... 3-4 days try a few ratios and settle ont eh one that works best ... I was having trouble with ricecookers boiling over and never knowing how much water actually worked- so tried this trick and it works like a charm... I cover the ricecooker with the steamer vessel that comes with the cooker and then put the cooker lid on the steamer- this breaks the bubbles causing the boil over and keeps the liquid in the ricecooker..
