Sundar Pichai is an Indian American computer engineer. He is the senior vice president for Android, Chrome and Google Apps at Google. Mr. Pichai, an alumnus of the institute roughly 80 miles west of Kolkata, has just been appointed head of Google Inc.’s Android business. Android is the most widely used smartphone operating system in the world. In 2011, he became senior vice president of Google Chrome and Apps, which includes the Chrome browser and operating system, Gmail, Calendar, Docs, and Drive.  |
