The Supreme Court on Thursday expressed its displeasure over the "VIP security culture" in the country and questioned the need for it. The apex court asked all state governments to give details of expenditure incurred in providing security to the "VIPs", number of security personnel deployed for them and the categories of VIPs . The Supreme Court also asked how many VIPs having criminal records were provided security. It also sought information if VIPs' relatives or family members were also given security. |
