Fed took 5 attempts to win his first wimbly where as nadal won french in his first appearance  . Fed won 16 slams in 12 years, nadal 8 in 7.5 years [if wins today, make it 9]. Nadal is in good pace to beat fed in more slams but his explosive game style is prone to injuries. Hopefully he remains healthy and make it 20 by the time he retires. But him buying a share in the mallorcan football club [his birthpalce football team], might distract him. Adokkate fikar naaki. Apparently, american tennis fans are feeling happy on fed losses. What kind of argument is this? he got fed when he was barely legal enough to drive in straight sets at miami open. If you bring in 6-0, did you look at other two sets? And did you look at the french score of 6-1 in the same year? 2008 French 6-0 [6-1 6-3 6-0]? Fed's backyard is wimbledon and nadal's french. Still nadal gave toughest fights to fed and won. annai vezy ga teesuko...dont let people get to your nerves just bcoz FED has lost...even FED has made peace with himself and there is always next year for more GS...the last decade of tennis has survived bcoz of FED without roger there ould be no grace in the game and the only sad thing is, in a few years there will be no ROGER on the court and that will be sad day when he retires and i hope he plays ofr couple of years just for the delight of us fans...win loose i dont care and yesterdays match didnt hurt.. it just feels odd bcoz we have gotten accustomed to seeing ROGER win time and time again that we have forgotten that all good time come to an end and that federer hasnt given us many bad days... | ||

well said about federer...but not so about sampras...pete was one of the best players if not the top three of all time...i bet sampras at his prime in those fast wimbledon courts who have whipped nadal and federer...these days wimbledon has become closer to clay courts ....he was the best on hard courts or for that matter any fast surface courts...but he was really bad on clay courts i love federer more than any player but can never be a critic of sampras playing style or his records | ||
