US could not get China to follow its orders to support US's stricter unilateral sanctions on Iran. China instead supported UN sanctions which were weaker in the eyes of U.S. I dont think China will care if at all US intervene in indo chineese tussle.

US could not get support from its own allies in the first place to get a stronger UN sanctions. Anyway UN sanctions are a joke and everybody knows it. I am waiting to see the news that there is a revolution in Iran similar to the way it happened in the erstwhile Soviet union and collapse of that fundamentalist regime or some kind of action from the country of David

Trade vishyam lo US and China are strong partners and the partnership ends right there.. China does not entertain US mingling in its foreign policies.

I think this is hard b'coz US is more into somehow sucking up to pkstan.

they r trying to control the military rulers in PAK....they do know that ISI and pak military are playing double games and that pakistan is the most dangerous state currently in the world...US can drop AF-PAK states like a hot potato...once they are done with AFghan or they sense a vietnam like scenario they will run...and this is no iraq where there are billions of dollars...

Pakistan is geographically important no doubt about it but they are turning more to that area because we do not allow a base in India and no other activity is encouraged all in the name of political scorecard. The left does not realize that there will be no country if they continue their idiotic policies

The scenario that needs to be seen is if US would step in and I am inclined to believe that it would if India shows some inclination towards it. The left in India needs to understand that their flavour of communism is dead and they are hanging on to an extinct philosophy.

well said. we should get rid of our NAM mentality and 1970's thought.. we need the US on our side in the near future... i am not saying US is the best country for us to turn to but US is the only country which can reign in china...also until our JNU based media can stop their left wing propaganda, their hindi chini bhai bhai BS ..we will be stuck with commies anti-US propaganda and blame the great satan mentality

US is much smarter than you and I think. Do not think that just because china has brought out their Govt bonds and US is borrowing from them they control it. If hostilities break all of that becomes junk for China and US will be laughing with its backside. The supply chain for US can be resourced from other places and worst case they can restart their manufacturing bases out here. It becomes a matter of who has the greater will then. China sans the world market becomes a pauper in no time, their manufacturing base etc will not supplying the countries of the world. The scenario that needs to be seen is if US would step in and I am inclined to believe that it would if India shows some inclination towards it. The left in India needs to understand that their flavour of communism is dead and they are hanging on to an extinct philosophy.

Thanks andi, going good.

Chinku's trying to take the seven sisters of india could be possible but again in the scenario of a war I am sure paki's would step in from the other side. The war will not start unless the chinku's are absolutely sure they control the pace and the result of it. US and Russia would definitely step in some way. All said and done mana vallaki undali. We need to develop the infrastructure closer to the border so that we can move troops rapidly in case needed and we should start building and upgrading technology. The chinks war machine is well established now with their ability to build submarines and fighter planes too on their own. We should show some spine and counter the things that are happening in Arunachal and POK now otherwise it does not augur well for us

its a good ask considering the situations...right now burmese military is selling anything that has economic value and strengthening its power and arms....they seem to have natural gas resources in addition to minreals to sell to the highest bidder...on top of it china is helping the military junta as much as it can

I think we need another war and a small defeat with the chinku's for our idiots to realize what a threat china is to us. Zhongguo is encircling us from all over and we are just in a silo thinking we have the means to counter it. We did not do anything when the chinese setup bases in myamnar and has developed very good relations with the Lankans. We messed up in Nepal and slowly Bhutan is changing. It should just be a matter of time before we get messed up royally. It is time for us to demilitarize burma and bring in democracy. We need to start asserting some degree of power in the indian ocean sphere otherwise we are in for a big shock

Chinki gallani assalu nammalemu. Prathi daniki Pak ni nakadaniki ready gaa untadu, knowing that they are a troubled country. I wonder if we can ever have such a deep cooperation.

On a different note, China is racing ahead in terms of its infra development. I wonder if India is doing at least 1/10 of what they are doing.

looks like gilghit -baltisthan area lo workers ani seppi chinese army ni dimparu for construction purposes... PAK will become china's province slowly...the attitude of chinese with respect to the locals of any region will always be a negative for the chinese ambitions...they r downright rude and condescending and never mix with the locals. already this is causing troubles in some african nations... long back i read an article where chinese firms have brought a million acres in mozambique or madagascar to start planatations and supply food for the growing chinese population

only AFGHAN strategy seems to work

not after Pak realized that India has a strong hold and started protesting loudly these days .. its also asking China to have a greater say in Afghan ..

India will have to pay dearly if it does not counter China at this stage ..

There is a vast gap between the indian think tank and the people ruling the country....we have relics of the past who are running the country...seems like the younger generation has vanished from the executive class...Would like to see one decent measure countering china in any field....looks like only the military is trying to tackle china that too w/o adequate support...

regarding the relationship with our neighbours...we botched up lanka, nepal and cannot counter bangladesh ( we only help them when the have problems) and with PAK the less the better...only AFGHAN strategy seems to work

China is way too aggressive with any country out there. They are all over Africa with minerals, mining & drilling. They have alliances with pkstan, iran and they all but control vomrica's economy.

somehow china is too aggressive about tackling india...its going with a multi pronged strategy ...on one side its shoring up PAK and building sea ports all around india, on the otherside its trying to control the water resources in the himalayas, economic wise its dumping cheap stuff everywhere and buying every oil and gas resources in Africa and other smaller countries...

what r w e doing ?

Their two-way trade is roaring: only $270m in 1990, it is expected to exceed $60 billion this year. They are also tentatively co-operating, for their mutual enrichment, in other ways: for example, by co-ordinating their bids for the African oil supplies that both rely on. Given their contrasting economic strengths China's in manufacturing, India's in services-some see an opportunity for much deeper co-operation. There is even a word for this vision, "Chindia". On important international issues, notably climate-change policy and world trade, their alignment is already imposing.
