* Satya Sai Meditation Council organises yoga and meditation
quote:NIZAMABAD: A yoga and meditation programme for the benefit of police personnel to overcome stress while discharging duty was organised at Police Parade Ground, here on Saturday. The programme titled psychology seminar was a big success as a number of policemen including officers actively took part in it. Launching it the Satya Sai Meditation Council yoga master M. Raghu Guruji, said the yoga and meditation technique proved to be an effective tool to overcome the stress in the modern life. This would help remove stress by synchronizing body with mind and it could be described as âunity in diversityâ, he said. âIf body is used to comfort, it will result in physical and mental ill-health. Yoga is the best way to remove laziness and to be physically fit. Mind easily gets provoked for assets, comforts, satisfaction, wishes and prestigeâ, he said, and added that everyone should encourage their wards for every small or big achievement. Otherwise, they would get accustomed to loneliness, he said. Reading of scriptures is very useful for gaining mental strength and peace, while meditation helps keep away chronic diseases like blood pressure, diabetes, joint pains, skin diseases and respiratory problems, he added. Officer on Special Duty N. Suryaprakash Rao, Deputy SP G. Raghava Reddy, town CI, N. Venkateswarlu and rural CI, Ch. Umachari, AR Inspector K. Srinivas, Motor Transport Officer G. Satyam and other officers participated.
