Sun TV backtracks, ROBOT in dilemma Aug 9, 2010 - 4:18:36 PM SUN TV Pictures that produced Rajnikant - Shankar’s magnum opus Robot now says that they haven’t sold off the Telugu rights to any producer yet. On Monday evening (August 10, 2010), Gemini TV, the Sun TV group’s Telugu entertainment channel, aired a scrolling saying that they haven’t sold the rights to any producer. Two days ago, Chadalawada Brothers called up leading media houses and told journos that they bagged the film’s theatrical rights for a whopping Rs 30 Crores. When asked them, they said: “We don’t want to make an issue out of it. It is true that we already gave them Rs 2 Crore advance to Sun TV Pictures.
