Director Surender Reddy has finally zeroed on in Rana after much brainstorm. Soon after the blockbuster Kick, Surender Reddy planned two films one with Mahesh Babu and another with Ram. His film with Mahesh Babu titled Mr.Perfect will only take place in 2011. So before that he wanted to start another film, Oosaravelli, with Ram as hero. But the movie’s script has gone several changes and finally it had its launch few months ago. Then after the script change, he titled it as Ram and Genny. But few months later, producer Sravanthi Ravikishore and Surender Reddy have decided to drop the project, as it is no longer viable due to budget constraints. So the hit director has toyed with several ideas but finally has decided to revive his pet script Oosaravelli and zeroed on Rana who made debut with Leader. Buzz is that producer Bujji, who is lying low these days after Konchem Istam Konchem Kastam, is producing it. Rana who is also trying hard to finalise his second film in Telugu after his proposed film with Selva Raghavan dropped is happy that Surender Reddy has chosen him.
