Example:::

SQL: -> create table check_time (bb timestamp(6));

Table created.

SQL: -> select * from check_time

no rows selected

SQL: -> insert into check_time values (sysdate);

1 row created.

SQL: -> select * from check_time
2 /

BB
------------------------------------------------------------ ---------------
03-AUG-10 07.20.01.000000 PM

SQL: -> insert into check_time values (systimestamp);

1 row created.

SQL: -> select * from check_time
2 /

BB
------------------------------------------------------------ ---------------
03-AUG-10 07.20.01.000000 PM
03-AUG-10 07.21.05.204120 PM

Guys trying to record date time with timestamp but it is not recording correct time showing only date part correctly time is always recorded as some default time 12:00xxx , I tried formatted systimestamp and sysdate using to_date and to_char but no use. I have so many other columns of same data type (timestamp(6)) but all of those are saved by the time sent by the application no problems here, but if I use sysdate and systimestamp then only the problem arises.
koddhiga urgent light eyyandi ..
