when all living things in this planet evolving continuously, without any knowledge about their surroundings and without any consciousness (self awareness), one bye pedal primate stood out from the rest of the animals.. It started thinking about itself, birth, death and about all other natural phenomena… most of these things can be explained by using present day science, logic and knowledge… but some twenty or thirty thousand years back then this curiosity was not answerable and more clearly not understandable. Most likely logical conclusion earlier people got for their knowledge quest was that every thing is designed by something supernatural and everything controlled by the same supernatural thing… it is the starting point of basic form of Gods and thus religion. Creation and evolution of religion separated mankind from rest of the animals, because it’s clearly shows the Man’s quest for answers… but sad reality is that same religion is making us animals again. | ||

pre-historic civilization? that means religion was man-made but not naturally evolved. Those people worshipped earth because they believed earth is root cause for human evolution. If someone in the past says "Worship this god X and you will receive Z spiritual benefits," you do a trial run and get it. It's so simple it's scary and most people won't do it, because then they become responsible for the truth and responsible for themselves.If something goes wrong after worshipping god, then people think they could blame everything on god rather than blaming oneself. organized religion?????? If you think religion is so organized, why did they butchered many people in the past in the name of "organized religion" rather than being controlled?? I think IMO organized religion has more flaws than what people think.. | ||

Religion is not some thing pre-existing to be disclosed or found out or uncovered. Rather it is a kind of subjective thing. Religion did exist in some form in pre-historic periods as people first started parying mother earth. Then it started to evolve to slowly in its more organized way later. Look at civilization. Civilization has not got its full shape overnight. Rather it evolved over a period of time. | ||

People who want to be controlled (consciously or subconsciously) will always seek ways to get controlled by someone or some idea.. otherwise, they are lost in life and get depressed.. And then there are ppl want to control others.. It was never discovered. It was rather evolved on its own. But control is an inherent benefit and characterstic of religion. Family system has the same benefits such as controls, values, etc. | ||
