Highcommand is acting too strict on Jagan..noretthithe kassak anettundhi New Delhi, July 19: The Congress on Monday issued a veiled threat to the MP, Mr Jagan Mohan Reddy, by stating that his comments on the Congress high command and the AP Chief Minister, Mr K. Rosaiah are not in the best interests of the party. The party will be forced to act, said the party's AP incharge and Union law minister, Mr Veerappa Moily. Speaking with mediapersons, Mr Moily said, "If he has given the statement, it is not good and it's not in the interest of the party." He added that the party was waiting for the report on the matter from the Pradesh Congress Committee. Mr Moily was reacting to questions on the suspension of Mr Ambati Rambabu, and Mr Jagan's response to it. Mr Rambabu was issued a showcause notice and suspended for criticizing the Chief Minister. Mr Jagan had said that he was pained by the suspension of Mr Rambabu and had recalled the association of Mr Rambabu with his father, late Chief Minister Y.S. Rajasekhar Reddy. He added that he would do anything to get the suspension revoked. Asked why Mr Rambabu was suspended after giving him more time to reply to the show-cause notice, Mr Moily said that the party acted in its wisdom. Asked for his reaction on Mr Jagan’s statement that he was pained by the suspension of Mr Rambabu, Mr Moily said, "Unless he (Jagan) speaks or writes to me I will not be in a position to react." Asked why the party was shying away from initiating action on Mr Jagan, Mr Moily replied, "we know what to do and at what time. It’s for the party to take a decision on it." Earlier during the day, Mr Moily and Mr Rosaiah called on the Congres chief, Mrs Sonia Gandhi, and reportedly discussed organisational matters of the AP party unit and the state’s preparedness for celebrating the 125th anniversary of the party. Mrs Gandhi has been conferring with other state units as well on organisational elections and related matters. Organisational elections are in their final leg in most states |
