dont neglect ...intial stage lo unnapudu go for ayurved or homeopathy medicine...definite ga aa medicine valla headache vachey
frequency tagguthundi..
india lo ithey migranil medicine vadutharu..in US excerdin ekkuva vadutharu..but ee medicines anni instant relief ye ..long run
lo veeti dosage ekkuva tesukovalsivasthundi..which is not good for health.
best thing is consult ayurved/homeo doctor.
first oka 3-6 months homeo/ayurved medicine valla result anipinchadu..but slow ga matram meeku headache vachey
frequency tagguthundi.


tips:
->try to avoid high temp...
->too much cold kuda avoid cheyali..
->dont drink much coffee..limit it to 2 times a day..
->try to drink sughanda tea( sughandam veru(root)) thoti cheysey tea.. regular ga daily tagandi...
-> vegetable juice..daily morning tesukovatam best..(as suggested by manthena satyanarayana)
-> excersice is must..(like walking for 1hr daily)
-> having diet @ regular intervals, having good sleep will definetly reduce suffering from migraine.
most important thing is dont think too much whether it is personal/professional...tensions asalu paniki radu migraine ki.
if too much tensed it leads to vomitings and eyes is ekkuva strain avuthayi...pain peak lo unnapudu edi kanipinchadu..motham dark ayinattu anipisthundi(dont worry adi one of symptoms)
go for regular eye checkups..

dont neglect to consult ayurvedic/ homeopathey doctor.

Couple of instant tips that has saved me many a time:-)

Headache start avvagane - Mix 2 teaspoons sugar in a glass of water and drink it.If the headache is triggered by either lack of food or hydration - this quickly stop it from spiralling...juice/lemonade works too.

Deep breathing exercises for a few minutes release the tension in the neck/shoulder muscles that can aggravate a migraine...

If you are stressed out , chant a prayer for 5-10 minutes - chalisa, mantra or namavali, something that helps you take your mind away from other issues and relaxes you :-)

exact same naakkooda, naaku around 15 yrs nunchi vundhi ee problem, consulted all kinds of doctors, MRIs theeyinchaa, India lo doctors ni kooda kalisaanu. including neurologist.

Jalsa and lot of other dbers cheppinattu, record chesko ye type of food thinte vasthundhi, ye time lo vasthundhi ani.
headache vachinappudu avoid oily foods, just perugannam thini paduko.
Anand cheppinattu nakkooda 24 hrs to 48 hrs vundedhi okkosaari.

inthaku mundhu weekly twice or thrice vachevi, knock on wood, ee madhya monthly once or even less vasthundhi :-) dont know why.

Try not to stress yourself.

ee bright light in the eyes issue migraine attack vacchinappudu matrame vuntundi bro. Not all the time. And I figured stress is the reason behind the issues I was having.

Exercising alone wasn't helping me. Meditation start chesanu. And I don't get so stressed out anymore. anduke vipareetam ga cinemalu chooddam start chesindi kooda. I wasn't watching even one movie a week before, ippudu 2 or 3 movies a week. If I am not over worked or stressed out I don't get migraine. I didn't stop coffee/tea/coke etc.

I have had the problem since teens...for me the only thing that works is Tylenol/Crocin withing the first hour. If I do not take the medication immediately, it lasts anywhere between 24-72 hours...

Chinnappudu urike medications vesukokudadu bharinchali ani all other alternatives try chesanu but have learnt better now. I carry tylenol all the time and at the first hint of a worsening headache I take the pills.

Drinking lots of water and keeping sugar levels reasonable help me a lot..Sun loki velte compulsory ga light colored hat use chestanu - direct sunlight on the head is another trigger for me.

Exercise, meditation or other relaxation techniques help as well:-) It is a manageable problem - so don't stress out over it and increase the problem :-)

@senapathy, try to identify your pressure point bro. and act accordingly. Dont take too much tylenol, it can have hazardous effects. If you have not seen PCP, immediately do it.

Naaku chinnappati nundi undhi Migraine.. not just headaches.. Vision gets affected during the attack. Doctors Brain Tumor ani bhayapetti tarvata scanning lu gatra chesi - migraine - cope with it annaaru.

There's nothing anyone can do about it. Jalsa mama cheppina four points, naaku exactly same experience. Avoid them and you should be OK. Tension gatra untay job lo leka life lo - try to solve the problem and be happy all the time. It helps a lot.

Andaru anni cheppesaru. Bottomline is try to figure out what is triggering ur migraine. Try not to get too stressed out on a daily basis if possible.

Take medication as early as possible.

when you have an headache avoid caffeine. excedrin etc la lo untadhi caffeine. It did not help me.

you frequently get migraines during summer. avoid going out in noons and evenings or else wear a good sunglases while going out. I used to get migraines every day before, but after started running, touch wood i rarely get now. try doing outdoor exercise during winter to ramp up for summer.

AFAIK, there is no permanent cure for Migraine.

raakunda choosukovali. First try to identify when are these attacks getting triggered, i mean what is triggering the migraine.

Coffee roju alavaatu naaku at work, so weekend intlo unnappudu vachedhi migraine. So alaa identify chesuko.

Other possible causes (for me atleast):
1) food - time ki thinakapothey vasthundhi
2) sleep - 2-3 days continuous ga sarayina sleep lekapothey kooda vasthundhi
3) heat - enda lo ekkuva sepu unna vachedhi, ippudu thaggindhi. migathavallu cheppinattu, sunglasses untey manchidhi.
4) types of food - some types of amino acids can trigger migraine ani oka doctor (desam lo) cheppaaru. so watch out.


Headache vachaaka thaggadaniki, doctor gave me a medicine (Treximet). Headache trigger ayina taruvatha (30mins-1hr lopala preferably) vesukuntey, 30-1hr lo relief definite ga untundhi. I can feel the impact of the medicine - very powerful.

Excedrin migraine undhi gaani I did not find it helping me.

Ten years ago, I had severe migraine headache for almost two years. Adi vacchinappudu continious gaa kallu moosukoni vundaalsi vacchedi. work cheyyalemu.

I don't have any headache problems now.

dude try to figure out wats triggering ur migraines and stay away from them as much as u can...and i think there are far better medicines than tylenol in market for migrained...consult a good physician....

Thank you brothers for kick starting the thread..

Regarding Excedrin, should I take it on the onset of headache? My doctors also prescribed Imitrex and recently Midrin. Does anyone have any experience with this.

Is it easy to have a succesful career while managing migraines. Since it is new to me, I am sort of worried. Lite teeskovala?

Brother,

try yoga.. the bestest way to manage migraines. Also pick up some sport or do work out.. I used to get tension headaches in the past so doc advised me to do work out and yoga.. Nenu serious yoga em cheyanu kani i do basic breathing techniques and i play racquett ball and basket ball. Now the frequency of headaches decreased significantly.

wash your face with cold water frequently , have a long shower when you are at home(both worked for me) dont take any sort of caffiene.

nenu doctor daggariki velthe,he suggested to get Excedrin-Migrane which is available off the counter in walgreens. that worked well.

Same here. horrible pain. I use advil/ibuprofen. For me Ibuprofen works better than Tylenol.

-Bright light would trigger the Migraine avoid sudden exposure to the bright lights .
-So much sweet also might trigger.

Db Bedars and Sisters,

I am recently diagnosed of migraines. It is affecting every quality of life and especially work. The episodes have increased in frequency - 4 last week. As of now I am on Tylenol only. Since I live alone, it is getting tough to manage physical and emotional stress.

If anyone here has similar problems or can offer help/advice, would greatly appreciate it.
